Ancient Pegasus Armor by batosan Ancient Pegasus Armor by batosan
Just a few weeks ago I was given the great fortune to purchase a work by Nazegoring through a bid process that allowed me me to have a piece of her work for far less than it's worth. These were the original "Adoptables" [link]
She had offered to paint the tail but I declined due to the fact I felt I had just robbed the Louvre of a precious incomplete work by a Grand Master and got away scott free! I did ask if I could rework the hoofs with shoes and refit the wings. She gave me Carte Blanche and I ran with it. Now I was going to complete the masters work with my big box of Crayons....well..thats how I felt! I realized in the middle of the rework that I would be hard pressed to match the green overall color. So I retinted all of the green on the body and head and worked to keep the eyes untouched! Extended the wing base area with Milliput and shod the hooves. During this process I broke the armor not once but twice and the tail to boot...GAHHHHHH! When this was all fixed I was watching Season 2 and realized the armor she had sold me was a rendition of Commander Hurricane's armor sans the lightning bolt clasp! So I made one up and weathered the armor and shoes close to the way she did. This is my final product! I hope everypony likes it!

I'm so into these figurines. My niece has Fluttershy... And I'm down right jealous, but can't get myself to buy one... =S

Thank you for your comment! I know the custom ponies get a little expensive.....But you can try just getting one of the small toys and some sculpey to maybe create your own custom! That's what got me started!

Thank you! I'm so glad others like this! Nazegorengs work is a tough act to follow! When I first picked up a paintbrush to start the repairs and rework I could not stop my hands from shaking! For the first two days I could only work in two to three minute intervals before I had to set the piece down and walk away!

Woah you did a phenomenal job! I don't think I could have found a better owner to take on this custom and actually improve it!

Praise from you is like a drink from the gods! I show your page to all my friends who want to do custom work, and the ensuing oooh's, aaahhh's, and WOW's is wonderful! This piece presently sits by my Luna sculpt in my living room at a place of highest honor! Thank you so much for letting have this piece for such a pittance of it's true worth! (and yes I had FUN!)

I'm so thrilled you had fun. I facepalmed after I sold them, definitely was a loss for me, didn't even make back the materials hahaha. But it makes it all ok considering you got this piece ^_^.
